The world today lacks what its people desire in visionary leaders. It’s a fact that vision is what makes the pain and stress of living bearable. Mankind has been given the greatest gift of time which is gift of vision. Visionary leaders are those who can set us free from the limitations of what eye eyes can see and allow you to enter into the liberty of what the heart can feel.
The LAHE Athletic football club is being introduced to bring literacy to the football pitch. Where there is literacy and vision targets can always be reached. It has been said that most footballers and sports people are yet to attain a very much appreciable level of qualification although this belief is subject to scrutiny.
This is the reason why LAHE is bringing education to the pitch to avert violence or ‘much to say’; reduce it, from what has been the case scenario from time memorial. It is useful to cite the example of then 19-year old American tennis star ‘Monica Seles’ who was stabbed in the back during a quarter final game in Hamburg. This attack was in the full glare of a 6000 strong capacity crowd watching in awe of the gruesome happening.
To bring to a reasonable stop, this unwanted yet expected happenings is one of the issues the LONDON SCHOOL OF LEADERSHIP through the ‘Emotional literacy in education/adulthood project’ will address. George Orwell once made a crucial observation, “Serious sport is bound up with hatred, jealousy, boastfulness… and in other words, war minus the shooting.”
LAHE is encouraging all to take a stand today and realise that EDUCATION IS NOT PREPARATION FOR LIFE, EDUCATION IS LIFE ITSELF.
Henry Ford also said, ‘Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or at eighty…the greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young.
