In the case of absence, the Academy must be informed of valid reasons. A medical certificate is required if there are more than three days' consecutive absence owing to illness.

Teaching: All full-time students are expected to attend daytime classes for a minimum of 15 hours per week from Monday to Friday. Course start and end dates are an indication of the academic calendar and are not expected to change. The Academy reserves the right to alter dates in order to facilitate or improve the provision of the course and its examinations. Any such changes will not affect the Academy regulations.
Books & Stationery: The Academy provides students, where applicable, with the relevant course materials. The textbooks and other course materials forming an essential part of class work must be brought to the class by students. Students are expected to buy their own textbooks and stationery.
Examination Entry: Students are entered for examinations (where applicable) only if their attendance is not less than 85% of the total and they are recommended by the Head of Department. Though the Academy informs, advises and assists students in examination entry procedure, it is entirely the students' responsibility to register with the professional bodies as Student Members and to register for examinations in good time. All examination fees and student membership fees must be paid by the student before the examination.
Conduct: Students are expected to conduct themselves responsibly on the Academy premises. Misconduct may result in suspension of the student from the Academy. In such cases no refund of fees will be given and any outstanding tuition fees will be payable in full.

Letter of Enrolment: Upon receipt of the full tuition fee or the first instalment of the fee, the Academy issues a Letter of Enrolment (LOE) to overseas students stating that a place has been reserved on the course. Students already in the UK are issued a LOE only after the payment of their full tuition fee.
The Letter of Enrolment may be used to overseas students to obtain a student visa and upon arrival in the UK a letter would be issued to open a Bank Account and to obtain a National Insurance Number (NI).
